As with all Glock pistols, the primary job was to remove the magazine so that I might load it up with 18 metal BBs and insert a 12g CO2 canister. This is achieved by pushing the button release with your thumb while holding the pistol. The MOD signed a £9m contract with the Viking Arms to provide the armed forces with more than 25,000 Glock 17 pistols and holsters. The Glock 17 was delivered first to troops serving in Afghanistan in January 2013 before being rolled out throughout all arms of the providers. The pistol is carried as a secondary / backup weapon by frontline troops.

Pistol Uses

The unique Glock pistol, the Glock 17, was designed by Gaston  Glock , founder and lead engineer of Glock Ges.m.b.H, and entered the trials to become Austria’s new service pistol, changing the WW2 era Walther P38. The Glock is a short-recoil locked breech semi-automatic pistol that fires via a striker-fired mechanism. Its frame, journal physique and other parts are created from high-strength nylon-based polymer. The 4th generation model includes a dual recoil spring meeting which reduces felt recoil, enlarged, reversible journal launch catch and a slightly smaller grip.
